Llega nuevamente la segunda cita anual de la Federación Canaria de Kickboxing y Muay Thai. Siendo esta la tercera edición de la Copa, parece que los clubes de Canarias están deseando la celebración de esta, siendo el actual Campeón la Escuela de Artes Marciales del Toro,
La Copa Federación nace como necesidad para el fomento del deporte base en las modalidades de los deportes de contacto, donde la Federación Canaria de Kickboxing a recuperado poco a poco la importancia y la solidez que tenía en sus comienzos. Todo ello se está consiguiendo con el buen hacer, con el trabajo diario de las personas que conforman la directiva y trabajan para el crecimiento de esta, y con la integración y el trabajo en conjunto de todos los clubes. La Federación considera que los Campeonatos de Canarias, única competición donde celebran dos clasificatorios por provincias y una final donde se enfrentan los campeones de dichas eliminatorias, no es suficiente para el fomento del deporte base de las islas, y de ahí la creación de este nuevo campeonato en 2017 ( Copa Federación ) muy similar al Campeonato de Canarias. Al igual que en los Campeonatos de Canarias, en la Copa Federación se celebran dos clasificatorias, una por provincia, y una final donde se enfrenten los campeones de estas, igual que el Campeonato de Canarias, sólo que la final se celebrará en la provincia donde no se celebró la anterior final, creando un vínculo y un compromiso aún mayor entre los deportistas de todas las islas, dando oportunidad a los nuevos competidores y creando un nuevo aliciente para ellos con todo lo que conlleva para el fomento y educación de estos deportistas ( viajes, compañerismo, deportividad, competitividad, etc. ). La intención fue la de crear una competición institucional que gane tanta fuerza que se estableciera como cita anual obligatoria, así como lo es el Campeonato Autonómico.
Este año se realizarán las dos eliminatorias provinciales el mismo día, el próximo 19 de Octubre. En Las Palmas se realizará en el Polideportivo Juan Carlos Hernández, en Jinamar, Telde, y en Santa Cruz de Tenerife se realizará en el Pabellón Pancho Camurria, ambas con hora de comienzo las 10:00 de la mañana. La copa tiene unas características similares al Campeonato de Canarias, siendo torneos por peso y modalidad, así como varias clases según la experiencia del competidor.
La Copa viene con una novedosa ampliación, que se podrá inscribir a deportistas a partir de 6 años, lo que quiere decir que existirán las categorías por edades siendo estas;
– Infantil: 6 y 7 años (Exhibición)
– Infantil: 8 y 9 años
– Cadete: 10, 11 y 12 años
– Cadete Mayor: 13, 14 y 15 años
– Juniors: 16, 17 y 18 años
– Seniors: + 18 años
Infantiles y Cadetes combatirán en la modalidad de Kick-Light, siendo ésta una modalidad de Tatami Sport, y como tal, estos combates se llevarán a cabo en los tatamis y no en un ring. Los Juniors tienen la opción de elegir el combatir en modalidad de tatami o en la de ring sports.
El campeón de la Copa Federación será aquel equipo que tenga más vencedores por categoría dentro del torneo.

- Fecha máxima de inscripción: 10 de Octubre de 2019.

BASES DEL TORNEO
- Modalidades de Ring: Kick Boxing, K-1 y Muay Thai.
- Modalidades de Tatami: Kick Light, Light Contact y Points Fighting.
- Pesos de Ring: -30, -35, -40, -45, -50, -55, -60, -65, -70, -75, -80, -85, -90 y +90 Kg.
- Juniors y Seniors 3 Categorías: categoría C (hasta 3 combates), categoría B (más de 3 combates y menos de 15) y categoría A (más de 15 combates o Profesionales). Siempre será decisión de la Organización el subir o Bajar de categoría a algún deportista que crea conveniente bajo su criterio.
- El Campeón de la Copa será aquel club que posea más campeones de categorías individuales.
- En caso de empate el campeón será aquel que posea una suma superior de combates de sus campeones en categorías individuales.
- Si aún así hubiera empate, el campeón será aquel club que haya participado con más deportistas en el torneo.
- Para que un combate puntúe o sume en alguno de los casos necesarios, es requisito imprescindible que se haya realizado el combate. Si no es así, ya sea por abandono antes de empezar el combate de uno de los competidores, incomparecencia, descalificación, etc., el combate no será puntuable.
- En caso de descalificación de un competidor, su contrincante directo será campeón de ese combate automáticamente, aún si ya hubiese terminado el combate.
