El plazo para presentación de solicitudes comienza este martes 9 de noviembre y finalizará el próximo 25 de este mismo mes.
Las becas, que suponen una ayuda adicional a la que ya destinan otras instituciones, están destinadas a fomentar la participación en competiciones oficiales, así como a apoyar la mejora y el perfeccionamiento de los deportistas del municipio. Podrán optar a ellas los deportistas adscritos a una federación de deporte olímpico, en cualquier categoría de edad, ya sea en etapas de formación y desarrollo o en etapa absoluta. Se otorgarán mediante concurrencia competitiva, atendiendo a los méritos y resultados acreditados durante este último año, con especial consideración para el deporte femenino y el deporte adaptado.
Subvenciones a clubes y entidades deportivas
Por otra parte, el Ayuntamiento de Agüimes ya ha realizado el abono del 100% de las subvenciones otorgadas este año a los clubes y entidades deportivas del municipio para el fomento de la práctica deportiva federada. Se han destinado 101.000 euros a este concepto, el 39% a clubes de fútbol, el 15% a lucha canaria, un 13% a fútbol sala, el 8% a baloncesto, un 3,5% a artes marciales, otro 3,5% a voleibol, otro 3,5% a otros deportes canarios y el 14,5% restante a disciplinas deportivas diferentes de las anteriores, resultando beneficiarios un total de 24 clubes. De acuerdo a la convocatoria pública, la distribución de las ayudas se realizó atendiendo al número de licencias federativas gestionadas por cada entidad durante la temporada 2020-2021.
Estas subvenciones a entidades deportivas tienen como fin apoyar la labor que los clubes realizan en beneficio de la población, al proporcionar las condiciones adecuadas para la práctica deportiva federada.
